2. About this Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice applies when you:
- visit the FXi website;
- create or use an FXi account;
- purchase or manage a subscription;
- receive FXi market briefings, alerts or communications;
- contact our customer-support team;
- participate in a survey, trial or promotion;
- interact with FXi through social media;
- use an FXi website, application or related service; or
- otherwise provide personal information to us.

3. The information we collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with FXi.
3.1 Account and identity information
We may collect:

- account identifier;
- password in encrypted or hashed form;
- country or general location;
- date of birth or confirmation that you are over 18, where required; and
- account preferences.
3.2 Subscription and payment information
When you purchase a subscription, we may collect:

- the final digits and type of payment card;
- VAT or tax information, where applicable;
- renewal and cancellation information; and
- records of refunds, failed payments or payment disputes.
Payments may be processed by an independent payment provider such as Stripe.
We do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card number or card security code. Those details are handled by the payment provider under its own terms and privacy notice.
3.3 Service-use and technical information
When you access FXi, we may automatically collect:
- your IP address;
- device type;
- browser type and version;
- operating system;
- device identifiers;
- login dates and times;
- pages, screens and features accessed;
- links and buttons selected;
- subscription and notification preferences;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- error, diagnostic and performance information;
- referring website or source;

- cookie and similar technology identifiers.
3.4 Market-briefing and notification information
We may collect information about:
- the briefings and market content delivered to you;
- whether an email, alert or notification was delivered or opened;
- links selected within a communication;
- your chosen markets, currency pairs or notification categories;
- preferred communication channels;
- notification delivery failures; and
- your briefing and alert settings.
We do not need access to your brokerage account or trading account to provide the standard FXi market-information service.
Unless a separate feature expressly states otherwise, we do not collect:
- brokerage login credentials;
- brokerage account balances;
- complete investment portfolios;
- complete trading histories; or
- authority to trade on your behalf.
3.5 Communications and support information
When you contact us, we may collect:
- your name and contact details;
- copies of emails and messages;
- support requests;
- complaints;
- survey responses;
- feedback;
- telephone or video-call details, where applicable; and
- information you choose to provide about your experience of FXi.
Please do not send us unnecessary financial, medical or other sensitive personal information.

- providing subscription features; and
- maintaining the operation of the website and application.
Our lawful basis is normally the performance of our contract with you.
Where a feature is not strictly necessary to provide your subscription, we may rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.

- collecting recurring payments;

These are service communications rather than marketing communications.

Our legitimate interests may include:
- operating and securing FXi;

6. Artificial intelligence and automated systems
FXi may use artificial intelligence, algorithms and automated systems to:

- detect suspicious account activity;
- provide customer-support assistance;

- improve the Service.

We will not knowingly use your private account communications or identifiable personal information to train a general-purpose public AI model unless:

- we have an appropriate lawful basis; and

Where we use an external AI provider, we will require it to process information under appropriate contractual and security protections.
FXi does not use solely automated decision-making to make decisions that produce legal effects, or similarly significant effects, about your eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or investment products.
Automated security systems may temporarily block or flag an account where unusual activity is detected. You may contact us to request a human review.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
FXi may use cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used to:

- maintain account security;

- process subscriptions;
- understand how the Service is used;

Payment providers process subscription payments, refunds and payment disputes.

Providers may help us send:

- application notifications;
- SMS messages; and
- other requested alerts.
Providers: SendGrid (email delivery)
Analytics and customer-support providers
These providers may help us:
- understand product usage;
- diagnose technical issues;
- respond to support requests;
- administer customer relationships; and
- improve the Service.
Providers: We do not currently use third-party analytics providers. Customer support is handled by FXi directly via email.
Professional advisers
We may share information with:
- accountants;
- auditors;
- insurers;
- solicitors;
- tax advisers; and
- other professional advisers.
Regulators, courts and authorities
We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, including to:
- courts;
- law-enforcement agencies;
- tax authorities;
- regulatory bodies; and

Corporate transactions
Information may be disclosed to potential purchasers, investors or advisers in connection with:

- investment;
- financing;

- acquisition;
- sale of assets; or
- transfer of the FXi business.

10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
Our expected retention periods are:
Account information
For the duration of your account and ordinarily for up to 24 months after account closure, unless a longer period is needed for legal, security or dispute purposes.
Subscription and transaction records
Ordinarily for up to six years after the end of the relevant financial year or transaction relationship, where needed for tax, accounting, contractual or legal purposes.
Customer-support communications
Ordinarily for up to three years after the matter is closed, unless the communication is relevant to an ongoing complaint, dispute or legal claim.
Security and technical logs
Ordinarily between 30 days and 24 months, depending on the nature of the log, security risk and operational need.
Marketing information
Until you withdraw consent or object to marketing, followed by retention of limited suppression information so that we can respect your preference.
Cookie and analytics information
For the period described in our Cookie Notice or consent-management tool.
Complaints and legal claims
For as long as necessary to investigate and resolve the matter and for the applicable legal limitation period.
When personal information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.
Backups may retain information for a limited additional period before being overwritten.

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against:

Please provide enough information for us to identify you and understand your request.
We may ask for proof of identity where reasonably necessary. We will not request more identification information than is proportionate.
We normally respond to valid requests within one month. More time may be permitted where a request is particularly complex or multiple requests have been made. We will tell you if an extension is required.
There is ordinarily no charge for exercising your rights. We may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, where permitted by law.

FXi is not intended for children under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of providing the subscription Service.

16. Social media and external websites
FXi may maintain accounts on platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube, Telegram or other social and messaging services.
When you interact with FXi through one of these platforms, both FXi and the platform may receive information about the interaction.
The platform processes information under its own privacy notice. We do not control the platform’s processing.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services. Selecting an external link may allow the third party to collect information from you. You should read its privacy notice before providing personal information.
17. Information you provide about another person
Where you provide us with information about another person, you must ensure that:
- you are permitted to provide it;
- the information is accurate;
- the person has been given appropriate privacy information; and
- any required consent has been obtained.
Do not provide another person’s sensitive or confidential information without proper authority.
